FY2026 Town of Davie Budget

The Town of Davie Annual Budget is adopted in September of each year and is effective for the fiscal year beginning October 1 and ending on September 30. For example, the current Town budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 is for the period October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025. The Town Council approved the Fiscal Year 2025 Annual Budget and millage rates during a public hearing on September 18, 2024. 

Development of Budget

Development of the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget began in February 2025 and public participation is encouraged. The Town Council’s Vision and Goal Setting session was held on March 11, 2025 and four community forums will be held in April. More information will be posted on the Town’s website once the meetings are scheduled.

Over the summer months, the Town Council will hold the following public workshops to discuss and refine the proposed FY 2026 Budget. Two public hearings will be conducted in September 2025 during which the FY 2026 Budget will be adopted.

Millage Rates

The FY 2026 millage rates (i.e., tax rate) and FY 2026 Budget will be adopted in September 2025 following two public hearings. Assessment rates for the fire protection assessment, solid waste assessment, and stormwater assessment will be approved during a separate hearing. The public is invited to attend these hearings and may speak on the proposed assessment rates, millage rates and budget. The tentative millage rates and budget are approved at the first budget hearing, while the final millage rates and budget for Fiscal Year 2026 are adopted at the second budget hearing.
