#13 Sharks Bounce Back Against Tritons

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The 13th-ranked Sharks bounced back on Saturday evening, collecting a 3-2 road win in dramatic fashion against the Eckerd Tritons to improve to 4-1 on the season. The Sharks, who faced a 2-1 halftime deficit, rallied to score two unanswered goals, including the game-winner from Toga Katsuma with less than three minutes remaining.

How it Happened

  • Aidan Marshall King struck paydirt first, scoring the Sharks’ first goal at the 22:19 mark off an assist from Theo Oherwall.
  • After a yellow card, the Tritons scored on a penalty kick, and then promptly scored again right before the half, flipping the momentum and giving Eckerd a 2-1 lead.
  • The Sharks got a penalty kick goal of their own, as Santiago Hoyos Lopez tied the game at the 66:32 mark.
  • In the game’s waning minutes, Toga Katsuma scored a clutch goal at the 87:16 mark, breaking the stalemate and ultimately securing the victory for the Sharks.

What's Next
With the win, NSU improves to 4-1-0 overall, and 1-1-0 in SSC play. They’ll return to the pitch on Saturday, October 4th as they’ll host Saint Leo at 7pm.

#13 Sharks fall in SSC opener against #1 Lynn

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The 13th-ranked Nova Southeastern Men’s Soccer team fell in Wednesday night’s Sunshine State Conference opener against the defending champs and number one-ranked Lynn Fighting Knights. Theo Oherwall and Andres Morral Rosales scored one goal apiece, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit.
