
MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference announced the Players of the Week for the week of September 15 – 21, on Monday afternoon. Nova Southeastern Sharks student-athlete Olivia Aniol earned honors following her performance this past week.
Aniol averaged 2.0 blocks per set with seven solo blocks and seven block assists as NSU went 3-0 last week at the Triton Invite in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Tarpon Springs, Florida product began the event with match-highs in solo blocks (6) and block assists (7) in a five-set win over RV Indianapolis. Aniol also contributed 11 kills, five digs, and a service ace to the Sharks’ win. In two sets across sweeps of Bowie State and Edward Waters, the senior provided NSU with two kills, a block, and a dig. The weekly award is the third of her career.
