NSU Women’s Golf Starts Play at the Rollins Classic

Orlando, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Women’s Golf team began the first round of play in the Rollins Classic at ChampionsGate Golf Club on Sunday morning. NSU (+23) finishes day one in seventh place, Haruka Muta and Ariana Carvalho (+6) sit in a tie for twenty fifth.

How it Happened

  • Haruka Muta, started her first round with three birdies on the front nine, after hitting the turn Muta collected eight consecutive pars. Muta added twelve pars and a birdie in round two, finishing the day six-over.
  • Ariana Carvalho, totaled nine birdies and eighteen pars in her first day of action, closing rounds one and two at six-over.
  • Mei Chan, began round one with eight consecutive pars with a bogey on the ninth, adding eight more pars and a bogey on the back nine. Chan finished the day eight-over.
  • Ida Lundh, tallied two birdies and six pars to start her first round, adding seven pars through the back nine. Lundh shot nine-over for the day. 
  •  Maria Torres, collected eleven pars in both rounds of play, with three birdies in her second round. Torres finished play nine-over.
