Sharks Race at Hurricane Invitational

MIAMI, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Track team competed at the Hurricane Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Miami, FL. NSU had 13 top-10 finishes on the women’s side and five top-10 finishes on the men’s side. 

How it Happened

(Women’s Top 10 Finishes)    

1500 meters – Eden Toal (2nd/4:46.19), Ally Jakubiak (3rd/4:47.47), Megan Winterbottom (4th/4:50.98), Leena Saidi (5th/4:51.13), McKinzie Winget (7th/4:58.34). 

800 meters – Bella Butler (8th/2:20.02), Megan Winterbottom (9th/2:24.19), Amanda Stone (2:26.40).  

3000 meters – Leena Saidi (2nd/10:16.68), Isabella Grant (5th/11:00,78), Karina Gilson (6th/11:23.56), Meghan McNabb (7th/12:17.10), Maggie Ragsdale (9th/12:31.41).  

How it Happened

(Men’s Top 10 Finishes)    

1500 meters – Marcus Tortorella (5th/3:59.17), David Mahnke (8th/4:06.42). 

800 meters – Jan Schmied (4th/1:55.48) 

3000 meters – Marcus Tortorella (1st/9:06.12), Ethan Miller (2nd/9:57.90) 

What's Next

The Sharks will return to action April 5th-6th, at the UM Hurricane Alumni Invitational.
