#4 Sharks Finish in Second Place at SSC Championships

LARGO, Fla. – The fourth-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Women’s Golf team (+40/304/205/295) placed second, in the ten-team field, at the Sunshine State Conference Championships at the Bayou Club Course. Maia Samuelsson (3rd/+4/74/74/72) and Jimena Marques (T10th/+9/73/77/75) paced the Sharks during the SSC Championship tournament.

How it Happened
Maia Samuelsson recorded four birdies and 11 pars in the final round, finishing in third place at the Sunshine State Conference championship. 
Jimena Marques closed out the SSC championships with three birdies and nine pars in the final round. 
Ellen Ramstedt (16th/+12/76/79/73) tallied five birdies in her final round, posting her best round of the Sunshine State Conference championships.
Ellen Andersson (T26th/+18/81//78/75) and Hannah Mitterberger (T29th/+19/81/76/78) both placed inside the top-30 for Nova Southeastern. 

What's Next
No. 4 Nova Southeastern returns to action at the NCAA South Region Tournament, hosted by Lee University in Cleveland, TN., from May 6th through 8th.

#4 Sharks Remain in Second Place after Day Two at SSC Championships

LARGO, Fla. – After two rounds at the Sunshine State Conference Championship tournament, the fourth-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Women’s Golf team is tied for second place (T2/+33/304/305) and four strokes off the lead. Maia Samuelsson (T3/+4/74/74) continues her strong showing for the Sharks, recording three birdies during Tuesday’s action.

How it Happened
Maia Samuelsson tallied three birdies and 11 pars in the second round of the Sunshine State Conference Championships. 
Jimena Marques (T12/+6/73/77) opened the second round with three straight pars. Marques finished the round with 11 pars and a pair of birdies, maintaining her standing inside the top-15 at the Sunshine State Conference championships. 
Ellen Ramstedt (T21/+11/76/79) totaled nine pars and added a birdie in her second round. 
Hannah Mitterberger (T28/+13/81/76) climbed six spots up the leader board after her second round. Mitterberger recorded 14 pars in the round, including one on each of the final eight holes. 
Ellen Andersson (T31/+15/81/78) tallied eight pars on the back-nine. 

What's Next

How it Happened
After starting her round with a bogey, Jimena Marques followed with three consecutive pars and totaled seven overall on the front-nine. Following the turn, Marques added a pair of birdies, six pars and a bogey, ending the round at +1. 
Maia Samuelsson started the Sunshine State Conference championships with four straight pars, followed by back-to-back birdies. Samuelsson ended the day with six pars and a birdie on the back-nine. 
Ellen Ramstedt (T12/+4/76) recorded three birdies in the first round of action, closing out the afternoon four-over. 
Hannah Mitterberger (T34/+9/81) and Ellen Andersson (T34/+9/81) combined for five birdies in the first round, as well as 18 pars. 

What's Next
