Jr. Lifeguard Training / On the Job Training Program
This program is offered for youth ages 10 to 16 who are interested in learning about the jobs of Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructors. The program will consist of one week sessions during which participants will learn the job requirements, basic skills and typical job duties of Professional Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors. Additionally, students will be taught basic work related skills and duties while they shadow Town Lifeguard Staff. Cost is $125 per session, this includes the t-shirt, whistle and workbook. Registration is currently open at Pine Island Pool. Please call 954-327-3926 for more info.
Camp is Monday thru Friday ~ 9am to 3pm ~ one week sessions COST: $125 includes t-shirts and workbook.
Lifeguard Certification Training Classes
30 hour training course conducted by an American Red Cross Instructor. Successful completion of this course includes certification of Lifeguard/First Aid and CPR/AED.
COST: $300 for residents and $310 for Non-Residents
Prerequisites
- 10 lb. brick retrieval
- Minimum age 15
- Swim 300 Yards
- 2 minute tread
