MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference announced the Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon. Mike Hay, a student-athlete for the No. 18 Nova Southeastern Men’s Golf team, earned his second honor of the season. The full release can be found here.
Hay takes Golfer of the Week for the second time in 2024 for his performance at the First Federal Southeastern Collegiate Challenge at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Georgia. Hay tied for first at 7-under (209) following the 54-hole event but fell in a two-person playoff. Hay opened stroke play with a 3-under round (69) but added three strokes in round two (72) and shot four-under in round three (68). With Hay’s play, NSU took the title in a field of 17 teams.
