FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA – The 19th-ranked Nova Southeastern Softball team took down the Lynn Fighting Knights Thursday evening at the NSU Softball Stadium. RBIs from Brenna Lokeinsky (2), Tori Copeland (2), and Lauren Margolis (2) led the way for the Sharks.

BOT 1st – Brenna Lokeinsky got the action started with an RBI single to left field, giving the Sharks an early 1-0 lead.
BOT 3rd – Lokeinsky picked up where she left off, earning her second RBI of the game via sacrifice fly to push NSU ahead 2-0. Shortly after, the Sharks would tack on another run off a sacrifice fly by Lauren Margolis.
TOP 4th – The Fighting Knights finally got on the board after an RBI single to second base, cutting their deficit to two runs.
BOT 6th – RBIs from Cassidy Duskin, Cassidy Patterson, Tori Copeland (2), and Lauren Margolis extended NSU’s lead to 9-1, ultimately securing tonight’s SSC victory over Lynn.

The Sharks will return to the field on Saturday, May 3, for a doubleheader matchup with Lynn at the NSU Softball Stadium in the last series of the regular season. The Sharks will celebrate senior day tomorrow, with festivities beginning at 11:40 a.m. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
