#7 Sharks Open Play at “the Match at the Marsh”

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The seventh ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Women’s Golf team played a pair of rounds of match play on Monday during the “Match at the Marsh” hosted by Jacksonville University. NSU began the day by defeating NCAA Division 1 opponent Bethune-Cookman 4-1 and was beaten by NCAA Division 1 program Stetson. Results can be found here.

How it Happened

  • Maria Torres-Lobato defeated Bethune-Cookman’s Kathryn Robinson by having a seven hole lead with five holes remaining.
  • Haruka Muta was beaten by Ashlie Hobbs
  • Mei Chan earned a second point for the Sharks, holding a six hole lead with four holes left.
  • Ida Lundh sealed the match play win for the Sharks, leading by four holes with two remaining.
  • Ariana Carvalho added a fourth point for NSU, beating Meeya Marquez with a six hole lead with four remaining.
  • Carvalho earned the lone point for NSU against Stetson, defeating Grace Smith holding a six hole lead with five holes remaining.
