Sharks Wrap Up Day One of TYR Fall Classic

MIAMI, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Men’s and Women’s Swim teams completed day one of the TYR Fall Classic, hosted by Florida International. At the conclusion of day one, both teams sit in third place with day two on the horizon.

  • Gustav Henriksen, Inigo Marina, Umberto Marsic, and Marcel Snitko finished in second with a time of 3:20.76 in the 400 medley relay.
  • In the 200 freestyle, Keith Peristeridis placed second with a time of 1:40.32.
  • Marina took second in the 400 IM (4:04.61).
  • With a time of 50.75, Marsic took third in the 100 butterfly.
  • Snitko tallied the first victory of the day for the Men’s team, placing first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.59.
  • In the 100 breast, Marina took second with a time of 55.39.
  • Henriksen took third in the 100 back with a time of 51.95.
  • With a time of 1:23.99, the group of Umberto Marsic, Anton Mueller, Luca Alessandrini, and Marcel Snitko placed third in the 200 freestyle relay.

Head Coach Ben Hewitt – Solid night of swimming. Learning a lot in this unique competition. The athletes have stepped up and grown through the event. Excited to see what tomorrow brings.

The Sharks will be back in the pool at 10:00 AM on October 7th for day two of the TYR Fall Classic in Miami, FL.
