

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference released its 2022-23 All-SSC Women’s Basketball selections on Wednesday afternoon. Madison Frederick and Hailey Conley were recognized by the SSC, with Frederick earning All Sunshine State Conference First-Team and Newcomer team honors, while Conley was selected to the All-SSC Second Team.
Frederick, a graduate transfer from Iowa State, was the leading scorer for NSU in her first season as a Shark, averaging 17.8 points per game, while shooting 41.7% from three. The Ohio native ranks third in the SSC in points per game, second in three-point percentage, and second in assists per game (5.1). Frederick tabbed two SSC Player of the Week honors this season, November 28 and January 23. The graduate transfer had 14 outings where she scored 20 or more points, including a season-high 31 points against Eckerd on December 3rd. Frederick also had a triple-double against Lynn on Jan. 21st, which made her the first Shark to record a triple-double since Christen Prasse did it on February 27, 2019, against Palm Beach Atlantic.
Conley, the Connecticut native, made a significant impact on the court for NSU in her fifth season as a Shark, finishing second on the team in scoring (14.3). The Graduate Student ranks 8th in the SSC in points per game and second in the league with 61 made three-pointers this season. Conley had four 20-point outings this season, including a season-high 27 points against Lynn on January 21. The North Franklin product also had 10 games with three or more made three-pointers, including three matches with 5 or more. Defensively, Conley finished with 21 steals, where she had seven games with two or more steals.
The Nova Southeastern Sharks finished the 2022-23 regular season with a 21-7 record, 13-6 in the Sunshine State Conference and advanced to the quarterfinals of the SSC Championship Tournament.
