Ramstedt, Sharks Lead After Round One at Emerald Coast Classic

DESTIN, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Women’s Golf team tee’d off in the Emerald Coast Classic from the Baytowne Golf Club on Sunday afternoon. The third-ranked Sharks women’s team currently lead the field by six strokes after round one.

HOW IT HAPPENED  

  • Ellen Ramstedt, the only Shark to finish round one, under par, eagled the sixth hole, putting her one-under for the afternoon.  
  • Ramstedt wasn’t the only Shark to eagle on the afternoon, as Ellen Andersson achieved the feat on the par-five at 15.  
  • Hanna Ahlander shot an even-par on the back nine, adding back-to-back birdies on 11-12, to finish the day in a tie for sixth place (+2).
  • Ramstedt, Sofia Garcia Austt, and Ahlander all finished the first round within the top-10 for NSU, with Garcia Austt and Ahlander sitting four strokes off the lead.  

STAT OF THE DAY 

NSU’s average score after the first round is 72.5, with Ramstedt leading the way (69).
