
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Women’s Tennis Coach Doug Neagle was recognized as the Racquet Sports Professionals Association (RSPA), formerly the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), 2024 Florida College Coach of the Year.
Neagle guided the Sharks to the program’s first NCAA Division II National Championship and a team record 27 victories during the 2024 season.
“I’m honored to be recognized as the RSPA Florida Division Coach of the Year, especially given the quality of tennis coaches in the state of Florida,” said Neagle. “Thank you to the RSPA for the award and all that they do for the sport of tennis. This honor caps off an incredible year for our team, which included our program’s first national championship.”
In addition to the RSPA Florida Division Coach of the Year recognition, Neagle was awarded the Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year honor for the fourth time in his career, while also being named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) South Region and National Coach of the Year. Neagle coached three student-athletes to ITA All-American honors and Natalie Espinal to ITA Senior Player of the Year recognition.
During the 2025 season, Neagle led the Sharks to the NCAA Division II National Championship for the third consecutive season and a 25-4 overall record.
