Sharks finish tied for Fifth at 2025 Southeastern Collegiate

VALDOSTA, Ga. –  The Nova Southeastern University Sharks Men’s Golf team completed play in the 2025 Southeastern Collegiate in a tie for 5th place (-3). Led by Bruno Marques (E) finishing just outside of the top-25.

How it Happened

  • Bruno Marques had a consistent performance throughout the tournament, carding rounds of 70, 75, and 71 to finish at even par. Earning him a tie for 26th place.
  • Will McGhie bounced back from a second-round 77 with a solid 70 in his final round. He finished the tournament one-over, securing a tie for 28th place.
  • Jorge Berea delivered a solid effort, posting scores of 71, 73, and 74 to finish at two-over. His performance placed him in a tie for 36th individually.
  • Elias Mardeni showed improvement throughout the tournament. After an opening-round 80, he rallied with rounds of 74 and 68 to finish at six-over, tying for 53rd place.
  • Ivan Ponsdomenech also concluded his tournament at six-over, tying for 53rd. His tournament included a strong second-round 70, despite some ups and downs across his three rounds.

Next on the schedule for Nova Southeastern will be the Bobcat Invitational at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee in Eatonton, GA. on Monday Mar. 17.
