Sharks Tied for 7th After Day One at Southeastern Collegiate

VALDOSTA, Ga. – After a delayed start to the tournament, the Sharks Men’s Golf team finished day one of the 2025 Southeastern Collegiate in a tie for 7th place (+2). The second round was called due to darkness and will resume on Tuesday morning. Bruno Marques (-1) led the way for the Sharks.

How it Happened

  • Bruno Marques, had a fantastic start to the day shooting bogey free through fourteen holes with four birdies, ending the round two-under. 
  • Will McGhie, tallied three birdies on the front nine to open round one, after hitting the turn he shot par or better on eight consecutive holes to finish the round two-under. 

  • Jorge Berea, collected a pair of birdies through the front nine shooting over par on just one hole, adding in three more birdies to conclude his round and finishing one-under. 

  • Ivan Posdomenech, knocked in a total of four birdies in the opening round, finishing the round three-over. 

  • Elias Mardeni, tallied a birdie and eleven pars in his round, shooting eight-over.
