Viera, Fla. – The #17 Nova Southeastern University Women’s Golf team earned their first win of the 2024-25 season, with their victory in the Space Coast Collegiate Championship on Tuesday afternoon at the Duran Golf Club. The Sharks shot 868 (291/287/290) as a team to finish four-over, led by Haruka Muta (-4/73/70/69) as the individual winner. NSU finished with three players inside the top-three, as Maria Torres (+2/74/70/74) placed second and Lua Pousa Dacasa (+3/73/73/73) finished tied for third.

Haruka Muta (1st/73/70/69) continued her fantastic performance on day one into the final round, shooting bogey free through the first six holes with a birdie, Muta closed out the front nine with a birdie and an eagle. Hitting the turn Muta finished her tournament with eight consecutive holes shooting par or better, completing play in first place at four-under.

Maria Torres (2nd/74/70/74) carried over her day one effort into the final round, collecting three birdies and a total of ten pars in the round, finishing in second place at two-over.

Lua Pousa Dacasa (T-3/73/73/73) was consistent throughout the tournament and began day two in impressive fashion, shooting par or better on the first 12 holes with a pair of birdies. Pousa Dacasa closed out the tournament in a tie for third place at three-over.

Ariana Carvalho (T14/71/74/81) tallied a lone birdie and nine pars in her final round, finishing in a tie for 14th place at ten-over.

Rosanna Halls (T22/80/75/74) added three birdies to her total in day two, ending the tournament placing inside the top 25 at 13-over.
