TAMPA, Fla. – The #25 ranked Nova Southeastern softball team dropped their SSC series opener against #4 Tampa on Thursday evening from the Naimoli Family Field.

BOT 1st – The Spartans came out hot, pouring in four runs to take the early 4-0 lead over the Sharks.
BOT 2nd – Tampa tacked on another run to extend their lead to five runs.
NSU continued to fight but weren’t able to get over the hump, dropping the SSC series opener over Tampa 5-0.
The Sharks will be back tomorrow to complete the SSC series against the Spartans in a doubleheader at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
