FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern women’s basketball team continued their winning ways on Wednesday afternoon, taking down the Barry Buccaneers from the Rick Case Arena, pushing their win streak to 19 straight games.

First Half – An 11-2 run capped off by a layup from Aubrey Stupp gave the Sharks the early lead. Barry clawed their way back and cut their deficit to four as NSU headed to the second quarter with a 20-16 advantage. NSU picked up the intensity offensively in the second quarter extending their lead to 14 with 3:04 left to play. Back-to-back layups from Zeyno Seren and Morgan Kane gave the Sharks a 43-31 lead going into the break.
Second Half – Stupp kicked off the second half action with a jumper to put the Sharks up 14. At the 1:47 mark, a layup from India Shepherd gave the Sharks a 28-point lead, their biggest lead of the game. Stupp closed out the quarter with a free throw to send NSU into the final frame with a 70-45 lead. The Sharks continued to stay aggressive defensively and ultimately secured the 89-55 SSC victory over Barry.

Nova Southeastern will take on Florida Southern Saturday, February 24th from the Rick Case Arena. Tip-off is set for 2:00 PM.
