Sharks Open Strong at Fall Frenzy

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Nova Southeastern Men’s and Women’s Swimming teams opened competition at the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy, hosted by Queens. At the conclusion of day one, the women’s team sits in second with 365.5 points, and the men’s team sits in third with 331.5 points.

 How it Happened
(Women’s)

  • In the 500 Freestyle, Emily Trieschmann took first with a time of 4:44.12, which is a new NSU Women’s Swim and Sunshine State Conference record. In fourth with a time of 4:54.94 was Hailey Williams.
  • With a time of 1:59.90, Emilia Ronningdal placed second in the 200 Individual Medley. May Lowy took fourth with a time of 2:01.88.
  • The group of Mollie Morfelt, Ronningdal, Rafaela Raurich, and Trieschmann finished second in the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 3:43.32.

  How it Happened

Head Coach Ben Hewitt – Today was a really strong day. Executed well in a lot of ways and I think we’re well prepared for the multiple days of competing. Should be an exciting weekend for the Sharks!
 
 What's Next 
The Sharks will be back in the pool November 18 for day two of the Fall Frenzy in Charlotte, North Carolina.
