#3 Sharks, Andersson Sweep Buccaneer Invitational

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The third-ranked Nova Southeastern Women’s Golf team concluded play at the Buccaneer Invitational on Tuesday. NSU (+20) took home first-place in the 12-team event. Ellen Andersson (E) was also crowned the individual champion, followed by a pair of top-7 finishers in Haruka Muta (4th/+7) and Olivia Gronborg (7th/+8).

HOW IT HAPPENED

Ellen Andersson hit par on six of the first seven holes in round three but hit four consecutive bogeys on the back nine. Despite a +6 in the third round, Andersson (E) would finish at the top of the leaderboard and win the Buccaneer Invitational.

Haruka Muta picked up three birdies on the back nine of round three and would finish the final round with a score of +3. The sophomore (+7) finished tied for 4th-place, just one stroke away from a top-3 finish.

Olivia Gronborg finished tied for 7th place with a score of +8, shooting a triple bogey and a pair of double bogeys in the final round.

Ellen Ramstedt (21st) and Emma Larsen (T-29) each finished inside the top-30. Ramstedt (+16) started strong in round three with three pars and a birdie but would ultimately end with a +8. Larsen (+19) was on fire in round three, scoring +1 and picking up five birdies. Larsen’s +1 in round three was tied for the best of the day.
