FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Softball team earned a pair of wins on Wednesday afternoon, defeating Flagler. The Sharks were led by a dominant performance from Madison Fine, who picked up a season-high 5 RBIs in game one and 3 RBIs in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
BOT 1st | Alyssa Drogemuller worked a walk and was advanced to third after a double from Kerstyn Shaw. Madison Fine drove in both runners on a base hit and was droved in after a triple from Samantha Burke. The Sharks left the first inning leading 3-0.
BOT 3rd | Tia Williams opened the inning with a bunt single and stole second base shortly after. Another hit from Shaw advanced Williams to third, and Fine drove in another RBI on a fielder’s choice to extend the Sharks’ advantage to 4-0.
BOT 4th | NSU loaded the bases after a double from Alexis Smith, a reached-on error from Drogmuller and a walk from Shaw. The Sharks jumped out to a 6-0 lead after Fine drove in a pair of runs on a single.
BOT 5th | After reaching on an error, Emily Thomas scored a run on a base hit from Drogemuller.
TOP 6th | Flagler scored its first run of the game on an extra-base hit through the right side.
BOT 6th | The bases were loaded once again after three consecutive walks to Fine, Hayley Lynch and Thomas. Back-to-back walks from Alexi Watkins and Drogemuller drove in two more runs and helped NSU secure a 9-1 win over Flagler in game one.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
TOP 1st | The Saints took its first lead of the day on a sacrifice fly after a pair of hits.
BOT 3rd | The Sharks loaded the bases for Fine once again, with Smith, Williams and Shaw all finding their way on base. Adding onto her career day, Fine drove in all three runners on a double through the middle and put NSU up 3-1.
TOP 5th | After a few hits, Flagler picked up a pair of runs and tied the game at 3 runs each.
BOT 5th | Once again, NSU loaded the bases after a walk from Drogemuller, a single from Williams and a fielder’s choice from Fine. The Sharks picked up the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly from Burke and added an insurance run on an RBI from Lynch.
TOP 7th | Ellard retired the final three batters and helped Nova Southeastern secure a 5-3 win over Flagler.
