  • Led by a trio of two-under par rounds from Javier Calles, Mike Hay and Josep Serra, NSU bumped up from 11th into a tie for 10th – now four-under par for the tournament.
  • Thanks to a six-under par effort, Barry took over atop the leaderboard at 17-under overall. The Buccaneers own a two-shot edge over a Limestone team that still has between three and six holes to complete in the second round.
  • Despite being tied for 10th, NSU sits just five strokes behind both Barton and Florida Southern for fourth place.
  • Calles shot a bogey-free, three-under par on the back nine to move into a tie for fourth at five-under par for the tournament. The sophomore is currently two off the pace set by co-leaders Clay Tucker of Florida Southern and A.J. Ewart of Barry.
  • Serra stands just one back of Calles at four-under and in a tie for 11th.
  • Hay shook off an early bogey on No. 2 by shooting a bogey-free, two-under par the rest of the way to rise into a share of 43rd at even-par through two rounds.
  • A (+3) 75 on Friday has Emanuel Olofsson now in a tie for 81st at five-over par overall, while Jonny Cachon carded his second consecutive round of (+5) 77 to close the day tied for 105th.

  • Prior to play being suspended, scoring conditions proved to be just a tad tougher on Friday with the scoring average moving from 72.49 to 72.78.

  • The Top-6 teams in the 20-team field, along with the Top-2 individuals on a non-advancing team, will qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championship on May 16-20 at TPC Michigan in Detroit, Mich.

Due to the weather circumstances, NSU will remain grouped with West Florida and North Georgia in Saturday’s final round. Tee times are once again scheduled for 9:10 a.m. For coverage, visit or follow the Sharks on Instagram and Twitter at @NSU_MGolf.
