Sharks Race at Flames Invitational

CLEVELAND, TN. – The Sharks competed on day one of the Flames Invitational, hosted by Lee University. NSU competed in the 1500 and 5000 meter races on Friday evening. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

Ivanova Yanes placed 28th, in a field of 74, in the 1500, completing the race in 4:51.01. Eden Toal finished the 5000-meter run in 18:29.55, narrowly missing a top-50 finish. Joseph Salerno and Adrien Zambaux both represented Nova Southeastern in the men’s 5000. Salerno completed his run in 15:38.89, while Zambaux finished in 16:12.62.

UPCOMING 

NSU continues competition at the Flames Invitational on Sat., April 9, as Aaron Weimer, Maya Espinosa, Kamila Soja, and Ivanona Yanes run in the 3000 meter steeplechase. The Sharks will also compete at the Hurricanes Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Coral Gables, Fla.
