Sharks Wrap Up Regular Season with Eighth-Place Finish

BOCA RATON, Fla. – After completing the second half of round two early in the morning, along with the originally-scheduled final round, the Nova Southeastern women’s golf team concluded play at the Lynn Invitational in eight place on Tuesday. Both Nicola Fall and Ellen Ramstedt finished tied for 12th to lead the Sharks.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Sharks finished with four shots of earning a share of fourth place, yet collected eight following a 54-hole total of (+49) 913.
  • The nation’s second-ranked team in Dallas Baptist ran away with the tournament, claiming the title by 28 strokes after firing an overall score of (+12) 876 across the event’s two days.
  • Fall and Ramstedt wrapped up the tournament at nine-over par to tie for 12th.
  • At 12-over, Hanna Ahlander took home a tie for 21st, while freshman Jimena Marques finished tied for 43rd.
  • Rounding out the lineup, Ellen Andersson earned a share of 51st.
  • Haruka Muta tied for 48th while competing this week as an individual.

STATS OF THE DAY:

  • Ramstedt’s Par-3 scoring average of 2.92 ranked tied for third in the field this week.
  • Muta led the Sharks with seven combined birdies throughout the tournament.
  • The field’s final-round scoring average of 79.36 was nearly two strokes higher than either of the first two rounds.

BEYOND THE SCORECARD:

  • Dallas Baptist’s Julia Garcia (+1) edged Seminole State’s Grace Aromando by one shot to earn individual medalist honors.
