FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Cross-Country programs will race in a tri-meet against St. Thomas and Florida National on Sat., Oct. 9, completing the 2021 regular season.
Head Coach Bryan Hagopian leads the Sharks to the season finale and is expecting this weekend to prepare NSU for the Sunshine State Conference Championship meet in two weeks on 10/23. “We’re excited to be competing this weekend against two great programs in St. Thomas and Florida National,” said Hagopian. “This will be a challenging meet, but a great opportunity for some of our younger student-athletes to gain experience.
The Sharks have enjoyed success on both the men’s and women’s sides this season, with the women winning a tri-meet at Palm Beach Atlantic on 9/4 and claiming second place at the Florida Runner’s meet on 10/1. On the flipside, the men’s team placed third at PBA and at the Florida Runner’s.
Kamila Soja finished top-four at the Florida Runner’s meet in Lakeland, completing the track in 19:24, and was one of two Sharks to place within in the first-four. Christina Adams also placed well at the meet, finishing in 20th place in 21:14. The Sharks men’s team will feature runners Haydon Patrick, Cote Strike and Aaron Weimer.
This weekend’s meet will be run from the campus of St. Thomas. To stay up-to-date on all things NSU Cross Country, follow us on Twitter and Instagram – NSU_XCTF and Facebook – Nova Southeastern Cross Country/Track and Field.
