Sharks Come Up Short at Saint Leo

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Making the trek to the Saint Leo University Softball Stadium on Friday afternoon, the Nova Southeastern softball team dropped a Sunshine State Conference matchup against the Saint Leo Lions, 6-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
 
BOTTOM 1ST | With two outs and a runner on second, Saint Leo’s Madyson Coe singled up the middle to record the Lions’ first run.
 
BOTTOM 2ND | The Lions were able to get in scoring position with runners at first and second before a single to center by Kendyl Crean and a throwing error by the Sharks allowed both runners to score to increase Saint Leo’s lead to 3-0.
 
BOTTOM 5TH | After two scoreless innings, a groundout by pinch hitter Pankers scored Hare to bring the score to 4-0.
 
BOTTOM 6TH | The final runs of the game came in the bottom of the sixth on a two-RBI single by Alexis Miniet, bringing the final score to 6-0 in the Lions’ favor.
