Sharks Cross Country Prepares to Open Competition

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern men’s and women’s cross country teams will officially begin competition this weekend in West Palm Beach, kicking off their abbreviated three-meet schedule for the postponed 2020 season.

This year’s slate for the Sharks opens up at the Palm Beach Atlantic Meet on the campus of Palm Beach Atlantic University, Saturday, Jan. 30, facing competition from PBA and Lynn.

The next competition on the slate is Feb. 13 in Lakeland’s Holloway Park at Florida Southern, and the season rounds out in Melbourne at the Sunshine State Conference Championships on Feb. 27 at Wickham Park.

“We’re pretty excited about the schedule,” 13th-year head coach Bryan Hagopian said. “I believe we’re going to do very well, but the most important thing is we’re getting back to racing. We’re all pumped-up because this is a great opportunity for the student-athletes to get back to normalcy. We’ve got a chance to put the Sharks uniform on and go out there and show everyone what they’ve got.”
