Police Services Division

The Police Services Division is the “backbone” of the Davie Police Department.  The Police Services Division consists of Road Patrol and black a white police carSpecial Operations.

Road Patrol is comprised of officers and supervisors that respond to all emergency and non-emergency calls within the Town of Davie and Southwest Ranches.  Three shifts (Alpha shift – 9 p.m. – 7 a.m., Bravo shift – 6 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Charlie Shift – 2 p.m. – 12 a.m.) provide 24 hour a day, 7 days a week coverage.  Each shift is supervised by a Lieutenant and four Sergeants.  Additionally, Police Service Aides are assigned to the Bravo and Charlie Shift, and they respond to non-emergency calls for service, like traffic crashes, delayed crime reports, and reports of a non-criminal nature.  Finally, School Resource Officers are assigned to the Patrol Services Division, as well.

Special Operations consists of the Traffic Unit and the Community Oriented Policing Unit (C.O.P.).  Special Operations is supervised by one Lieutenant and two Sergeants.  Additionally, several ancillary units operate under the Police Services Division, as well.  Click any of the links below to find out more information about each of these units.
